Cheese Bread Recipe

Soft, fluffy, and loaded with cheesy goodness—this Cheese Bread is perfect as a snack, side dish, or even breakfast!

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
¼ cup melted butter
1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
2 tbsp chopped chives or green onions (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
Whisk wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add milk and melted butter and mix well.
Combine: Gradually add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir just until combined—do not overmix.
Fold in cheese and chives: Gently fold in the shredded cheese and green onions (if using).
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving Suggestions:
Slice and serve warm with butter.
Pair with soup or salad for a light meal.
Toast slices for breakfast!
